Easy going and simple.
A a summer tablescape.
Pretty much everything I like is on the easy-going side. So in honor of summer, simple and easy going…a blue and white tablescape.
Hydrangea is my absolute favorite summertime flower and the bushes in my yard are just covered in blossoms. I dig the blue ones and they seem to be happy in our soil and since they are grown locally they too are easy-going.
So easy to just wander out into the yard and cut a bunch.
It makes for a happy day.
I mainly just shopped the house and yard for my summer tablescape. These are actually my everyday dishes. I have two sets, great for mixing and matching. I don’t know why but there was just something about the blue lobsters that said buy me so long ago and I still love them.
I repurposed the creamers and sugars for bud vases since I never use them for my daily dose of sugar. I use a vessel far more glamourous…an old plastic cream cheese container. I know fabulous right, it makes me feel like a princess every time I rip the lid off.
The table runner is made from my one of favorite easy-going materials, burlap. And because our farm table very long. I made another burlap runner that is easy peasy for the fall here. Since I can never seem to find something pre made for the length of the table or that I like, I make them.
The candle holders are very cool faux wood in white and were a great buy from TJ Maxx. I’m still on the look out for more. The fun starfish live in my family room for some a summer touch when not in use for this tablescape.
Yes, more easy-going summer fun…paper napkins! Hey, why not.
So there you have my easy-going summer tablescape.
Thanks for stopping by.
