Miss Mustard Seed Sighting

Yesterday my husband and I went the most wonderful shop not to far from our home and I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Mustard Seed at a book signing for her book “Inspired You”. I must say Marian is as nice and sweet in person as she is on her blog. Of course I totally dorked out, well at least that’s how I felt but we spoke for a bit and I had my book signed and bought some milk paint to try.

I also had a chance to discover this wonderful shop that hosted Marian’s book signing and everything was so cute I wanted to buy everything. I forgot my camera and the pictures that I took from my i phone were awful.

I did pick up these old stack of books, I just love the time-worn look of them. I will definitely be heading back  to D’Bohemia again.

When I was walking around today writing this post in my head it was totally different. I actually was feeling quite low yesterday after I left the book signing. Not disappointed with Marian but with myself mostly because sometimes I feel extremely overwhelmed and I get into this creative funk (it’s where I’ve been for the last week) every now and again I get like that but like most things, all shall pass. I had a good cry and vented to my husband who had some very kind words of encouragement. And for that I thank you. And you know what…it did pass and I feel so much better.

  1. I was with a friend of mine this weekend that had the book too – I got a chance to peek through it quickly. And your stack of books looks fantastic. Sorry you were feeling down, it can all be overwhelming at times – but glad you have a sweet husband to perk you back up! Take care, Laura
